The idea
Credit programs pay a lot of a young company's hosting bill, but each has its own form, its own wait and an expiry date that nobody remembers until the invoice arrives. This tracker keeps every program and application in one place, and every active grant shows the days left and what would expire unused.
Setup in four steps
- Programs: keep the ones you can use, add others with their official page.
- Applications: add one row per program you applied to, with the date.
- When a grant arrives: set Credits active, the amount, the expiry date and what you spend on that provider per month. Update Credits used from the billing page once a month.
- Delete the sample rows: every sample application starts with Ledgerly (sample).
Reading Credit check
- On track: your monthly spend burns the credits before they expire.
- Will waste $X: at the current spend, X dollars expire unused. Move a workload there or ask the provider about an extension.
- Expires in N days: less than a month left; plan where the bill goes next.
- Used up or Expired: nothing left to spend.
Rules that keep this safe
- Amounts and eligibility change. The template links to each official page instead of quoting numbers; read it before applying.
- Credits used comes from the provider. Copy it from the billing console; the tracker does not connect to your accounts.
