The idea
Listing a product in directories is easy. Remembering which ones are still in review, which approval e-mail you missed, and which listing ever sent a customer is not. One row per product and directory, with a tagged link, answers all three.
Setup in four steps
- Products: add each product with its website and one-line pitch.
- Directories: keep the ones that fit your product, add others, and give each a short source tag such as g2.
- Submissions: one row per product and directory. Put the landing page and the source tag; copy the Tagged link into the directory form.
- Delete the sample rows: every sample product name ends in (sample).
Every week
- Needs action: clear it. Follow up on anything waiting more than 14 days.
- Signups: read them in your analytics by utm_source and type them in each live submission.
Rules that keep this safe
- Never store passwords here. Record only where the login lives, such as a vault entry name.
- Terms change. Cost shows what each directory offered when it was added. Check the current terms before you submit.
