The idea
Every vendor you depend on retires things: models, API versions, runtimes, store requirements. The notice arrives in an inbox somebody skims, and the outage arrives on the deadline. This tracker keeps one row per notice, with the deadline, the systems it touches and who owns it, and tells you what to do next.
Setup in four steps
- Vendors: keep the ones you use, add the rest with their official changes page, and set Check every (days).
- Systems: one row per app, API or site you run, with an owner.
- Notices: paste every notice that reaches you, linked to the vendor. Status New means nobody decided yet whether it affects you.
- Delete the samples: every sample row says (sample).
Reading Next step
- Triage: are we affected? read the notice, link the systems, set the deadline.
- Set a deadline: triaged with no date. Write the vendor's date, or your own.
- Schedule the work: N days left: it affects you and nobody started.
- Ship it: N days left: 14 days or fewer.
- Overdue N days: the date passed and it is not closed. Check it still works today.
Rules that keep this safe
- Dates change. The template links to each official page instead of quoting dates; the deadline you type comes from the notice you received.
- Nothing connects to your accounts. You paste what you receive; no keys are stored here. Never paste a secret into a notice.
